When I heard this today I knew I wanted to share.

Mark 5:19

Tell them what great things the Lord has done for you.

A friend of Turning Points got tired of nuisance calls on his cell phone, but, upon reflection, decided to use the calls to practice his evangelism. If the caller is hawking credit cards, our friend replies, “I don’t need another card, but I take every opportunity of sharing the gift of God that money can never buy. May I tell you about it?” If the caller is selling vacation rentals, the man says, “I would love to tell you about the ultimate destination in life, a home in heaven.” And so forth.

While the man hasn’t yet led a caller to Christ, that he knows about, he’s found several who listened to the Gospel.

Ephesians 5:19-20

Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ

Ephesians 5:19-20

Give thanks with a Smile it is like giving thanks as a song

When it says thank God the father for everything, I find myself doing just that.

There are so many times that I will find what I need without my eyes, so I immediately thank the Lord

I  am so thankful because I remember having my sight and search aimlessly, The Lord has given me aim.  And I love that little astonishment I feel each time knowing that the Lord is ALWAYS with me. .

Psalm 16:8

I have set the Lord always before me. Because he is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.

There are many things that can trouble our lives, but none that can shake us loose from the grip of God’s grace   Jesus is our Lord, all of life’s greatest blessings lie ahead of us and He will let nothing rob us of this coming glory!

I praise the lord every morning

Throughout the day I communicate His  love.

Bedtime my prayers are full of his glory and thanksgiving.

I end my day with “Amen”  because I am reassured that God has heard me and I sleep better.

1 John 5:12 He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.

1 John  5 ;12   This statement is both a reminder of God’s glorious grace and also of our need to share that grace with others. Life is such a precious gift, it would be a shame for anyone to miss out.

God gave up the life of his Son so that we may hold everlasting peace

This Son of God is the seed planted in each and everyone of us. With the light of the sun we grow on earth preparing growth  and building a foundation with the word of   God. It is simple. Seek God for he has provide us with the Bible everything we need to know is written to us, for us and because of us.

We cannot survive without the Son or sun! Both created by God.

1 Samuel 16:7

The Lord does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.

A favorite bibleverse  for those of us that are unique.

Oh wait,  God created us all unique with loving hearts!

In God’s name  I pray,

Thank you for your unconditional love and creating me as I am.

Matthew 5:14-16

[Jesus said] “You are the light of the world. Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.”

We can all see the light of God in one another we have to look from with in. Even a blind sees God’s  light.

We do not need our eyes just the power of belief.

Matthew, 19;14

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”

Matthew,  19; 14

I find it very comforting and healing to be around children.

When ever I hear a child cry, they could be crying out of fear, pain, physical needs or confusion.

What ever it may be  and Where ever I may be

I sing in my head the song. Jesus loves the little children. Then within moments the cry calms or softens.

  Try it sometime.

God Said No

I asked God to take away my habit.

God said “No, it is not for me to take away, but for you to give it up.”

I asked God to make my handicapped child whole.

God said “No, their spirit is whole, his body is only temporary”.

I asked God to grant me patience.

God said “No, patience is a byproduct of tribulations; it isn’t granted, it is learned.”

I asked God to give me happiness.

God said “No, I give you blessings; happiness is up to you.”

I asked God to spare me pain.

God said “No, suffering draws you apart from worldly cares and brings you closer to me.

I asked God to make my spirit grow.

God said “No, you must grow on your own but I will prune you to make you fruitful.”

I asked God for all things that I might enjoy life.

God said “No, I will give you life so that you may enjoy all things.”

I asked God to help me LOVE others as much as he loves me.  God said … “Ahhh, finally you have the idea.”

Isaiah 41:10

The Lord says] “Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand

I find it a blessing that when I meet some one we shake with our right hands. To me that is a sign of God being introduced without fear.

The Burn Out

When someone is attending a new church, after a few times, they will notice the same people that stand out. These are the people that greet visitors, who take part in helping in the service, who want to get to know new members at fellowship.

Once a person becomes a member and becomes involved in the church, they are usually asked to fill out a time and talents sheet to help determine where that person could take part in the church outside of the church service.

These time and talent sheets help out in a couple of ways:

  1. They create an opportunity for new to meet new people and create friendships.
  2. It helps bring new blood into the committees and different factors in the church life.

Bringing in new blood helps prevent burn out of the people who are currently in these committees. New people bring new ideas and new insight into the church life. If new people do not partake in these committees and groups, the flame on the committee’s candle begins to diminish and burn out and the portions of the church life die with it.

HOWEVER, the flip side to the burn out is that many of us feel burned out in our everyday lives. The hustle, the family, the jobs, traffic, politics, planning…it burns us all out. By becoming active in the church and volunteering on a committee, it refreshes a person knowing that they are giving back to the church and city community.

When a group gets new members and the excitement builds with new ideas, the excitement is infectious! We need to make the snowball and push it down that hill to get the church moving forward!

Consider helping out in different parts of the church. The committees welcome everyone to take a part in their groups to help the betterment of the church! If a person puts in to something, they will get something in return.
